EMPLOYEE STORY – KENNIA DURAN

Kennia, our colleague from Costa Rica, joined VA Imaging in 2023. Before that, she spent nearly a year in France, teaching Spanish at two high schools. Currently, Kennia works in our Operations Department as a Management & Team Assistant. Fun fact: Kennia was not the first employee from Costa Rica to work in the operations department. Her colleagues describe her as: empathetic, hardworking and honest.

WHY VA IMAGING?

We asked Kennia why she chose to work at VA Imaging. She said: ‘’I had so many reasons to work for VA Imaging! I already had experience working in customer service and I really enjoyed it! I was also drawn to the international work environment, and I am excited to learn about new cultures. This is definitely possible at VA Imaging, with currently more than 15 different nationalities in the team! Since joining I have felt more integrated into the Dutch culture too and have picked
up many new skills!’’

WHAT IS KENNIA MOST PROUD OF?

For Kennia, it has been difficult to decide on that one moment she is most proud of. She has experienced a few challenges but also lots of opportunities during her time at VA Imaging. Overall, she is very proud of learning new skills in both logistics and technology. In the beginning of 2025, she has even obtained her certification Supply Chain Logistics from United Latino Students Association.

In addition, she is also very proud of her personal and professional development within the company. The kind and inclusive work environment at VA Imaging had a huge contribution to this.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR YOU?

After working for two years at VA Imaging, we have asked her about her vision for the future ‘’I would like to grow within the company and develop myself more in the operational department. Also, I would also like to improve as a person and as a professional. I would like to do that by always providing excellent customer service! Overall, I look forward to new colleagues joining us, who want to be a part of this amazing team’’.

Gabriella Centonze

Account manager

Gabriella can be described as caring, professional and inventive. She joined the team of VA Imaging in the beginning of 2022. After working in retail, she was ready for a career switch and started a job in the machine vision world at VA Imaging. She is now Account Manager and carries responsibility for customers in the United Kingdom.
