Spotlights are ideal for focused, directional illumination where a concentrated beam of light is required to highlight specific areas or features of an object. They are particularly useful in applications such as:
• Surface Inspection: Detecting scratches, cracks, or defects on reflective or textured surfaces.
• Edge Detection: Enhancing object contours or boundaries for more precise measurement.
• Mark and Label Inspection: Illuminating logos, barcodes, or laser-engraved markings.
• Long-distance Illumination: When the camera is positioned further from the object and needs concentrated light.

How to Use Spotlights for Illumination
Spotlights are most effective when positioned at a specific angle and distance from the object to achieve the desired reflection and contrast. The beam can be adjusted to create bright-field or dark-field illumination depending on how the light interacts with the object's surface.
For optimal results:

How to Power the Spotlights
The VA-SLC-8MM-W-24V-HP operates on a stable 24V DC power supply. For consistent performance and longevity, we recommend using validated power supplies specified in the product datasheet.
Our recommended power supplies allow you to:

• Trigger strobe mode for short, high-intensity flashes (20W or 40W) synchronized with the camera.

Production and Quality Control of Spotlights
All our machine vision spotlights are produced under a strict quality control process to ensure long-term reliability and consistency. Once approved, the LEDs are stored in a climate-controlled chamber before assembly. During automated assembly, the LEDs are precisely placed onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) using advanced equipment, after which PCB is visually inspected and soldered before being integrated into the spotlight housing.
The mechanical assembly process involves fitting the LED boards into robust housings specifically designed for efficient heat dissipation and mechanical stability. After assembly, every spotlight is tested for intensity, voltage, current, and beam uniformity to ensure it performs according to specifications. To guarantee long-term reliability, each production batch undergoes a burn-in test for 12 continuous hours, while new spotlight designs are tested continuously for one week under monitored conditions during the R&D phase.

Recently we purchased a camera with lens, and LED lights. We are not experienced with machine vision but the installation worked out fine. After installation on our laboratory we were surprised again of the high quality of the photos and the versatility of this system. (options in Galaxy viewer and integration in Python. Recently we had an issue with the software and the customer support was able to give us the relevant information to fix it within one day. The next time we need a camera we will not be looking to other suppliers but contact GeT Cameras immediately.

For a new product development there was a lot of price pressure. We needed a cheap camera. I called them and Caspar was providing great support. He even advised a cheaper camera than I had in mind. I was just surprised by the inhouse knowledge of get cameras about machine vision. Never expected this from a webshop. The image an built quality of the camera is also great. The camera feels and operates the same as our Basler cameras.

They ... I ordered a 20MP USB3 camera including a lens 2 months ago for a datamatrix code reading application. In the beginning I was sceptic because of the low prices, but support by email was great. They advise a lens and provided additional technical information. Unfortunately they don't offer a loan service, but I decided to try it. I had the cameras in house within 2 weeks and connection was easy. The SDK looks like the SDK from Basler so I felt directly comfortable with it. The camera and lens was a perfect match and now I'm able to read small DMC codes on large products with just a single camera.
