Max Reijngoudt

The expansion of our vision portfolio continues its steady growth. We are now proud to announce the release of our Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) camera. This camera features a Sony IMX990 image sensor and can be used for various applications such as the detection of flaws and dents or to differentiate (transparent) materials.

This monochrome SWIR camera is also known as a Visible-SWIR camera

In fact, it covers wavelengths from approximately 400nm to 1700nm. An advantage of this visible-SWIR camera is that it is not limited to capturing images in the Short-Wave infrared spectrum but also has the  capability of capturing images in the visible light spectrum, therefor only one camera is needed.

Other advantages of using this Visible-SWIR camera include:

  1. Operates in many lighting conditions
  2. Reliable performance for environments with fog, smoke or haze
  3. Only one cable is required (GigE with PoE capability)
  4. Thermoelectric cooling (TEC)
  5. Designed to be used with our high quality SWIR lenses
