Meet the Management Team

Gaspar van Elmbt - CEO

Which three words would you use to describe yourself?

Passionate, ambitious, caring.

What’s the most important value you try to promote within the company?

The most important value I strive to promote within the company is the creation of an inspiring and empowering workplace where every employee feels motivated to grow, contribute, and reach their full potential. I believe that when people are given the right environment, one that encourages creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

What is the biggest difference looking back at the early stages of the company versus now?

The biggest difference between the early stages of the company and where we are today is the remarkable diversity of our team. In the beginning, we were a small group composed mainly of Dutch men. Over time, however, as the company grew and evolved, we intentionally broadened our horizons and built a truly international team that now represents more than 15 nationalities.

How do you see the company in the next 5 years?

In the next five years, I see the company experiencing strong growth and expanding into many more countries. We’ll strengthen our global presence while staying true to our core values of quality, innovation, and collaboration.

Max Reijngoudt - COO

Which three words would you use to describe yourself?

Determined, structured & empathetic.

Can you walk us through a typical day in your role?

As Chief Operations Officer, I am responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of VA Imaging. I oversee all colleagues, locations, and operational processes, ensuring they align with the organization’s strategic goals. My role involves driving efficiency, managing resources effectively, and tracking performance to identify areas for improvement. Collaborating closely with the CEO, Gaspar van Elmbt, I focus on translating the company’s vision into actionable strategies, while also leading our sales efforts to support sustainable growth.

Every day is full of variety, as I engage with every department of the business. The role is fast-paced, with back-to-back meetings, constant emails, and numerous small yet crucial decisions to make.

Looking back, what is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your career?

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is the importance of clarity and structure in achieving goals. Start by defining a clear vision and translating it into specific, measurable objectives, supported by a concrete plan of action. Once the plan is in place, your main focus should be execution. Follow consistently, and regularly reflect on your progress to stay aligned and keep improving.

What advice would you give to someone starting as an intern/employee today?

Develop a habit of exceeding expectations by adding that extra 10% of effort or thought to everything you do. It could mean anticipating needs, improving a process, or delivering with greater quality. This mindset demonstrates ownership and reliability, qualities that open opportunities and make you stand out (as a business or person).

Erik In 't Groen - Sales Director

Why I joined VA-Imaging

I’d followed Get Cameras (now VA-Imaging) since 2017 and reached out to Gaspar out of curiosity. I joined in November for business development, quickly moved into sales and coaching, and eventually became Sales Director, now leading all sales.

My role and daily work

As Sales Director, I lead our global sales team of twelve account managers—two in the US, a couple in Germany, and the rest in Eindhoven. I’m responsible for budgets, targets, and all sales activities in HubSpot. My days vary a lot: sometimes there are no meetings, other times, like today, I end up with seven. Since I work across locations, I’m in daily contact with colleagues in the US, Germany, and Eindhoven. Flexibility is key in this role.

Team culture at VA-imaging

The team culture at VA-Imaging is open and vibrant, with strong team spirit and equal treatment for everyone, regardless of role. No day is the same, making work challenging and exciting, and there’s always room to improve in sales. I focus on sharing my experience and supporting the team, adding value wherever I can.

Supporting our Mission

I just try to share my experience and do my part, without steering things in a specific direction. Sometimes I can understand a request in just five seconds, like that Mastercard slogan: priceless. It’s valuable and much needed.

Advice for newcomers

Just do it! We are a serious enterprise where fun is a part of the job. Let’s say if you really like team spirit, and you can cope with the fact that every day is different - that is certainly a challenge for new hires!
