5MP 12MM C-mount lens
Both the iris and focus of this 5MP 12MM C-mount lens can be adjusted, screws can be used to fasten them. Additionally, the VA-LCM-5MP-12MM-F1.4-015 lens features a C-mount for easy mounting on your machine vision camera. Our C-mount lenses are designed to meet the durability and reliability requirements of industrial environments. They are built to withstand challenging industrial conditions. Lens for Sony IMX sensors cameras
The 5MP 2/3” lens series is compatible with a variety of industrial cameras because of this standardized C-mount thread. This 5MP 12MM C-mount lens is often being used in combination with the following camera sensors:
• Sony IMX 264
• Sony IMX 265
• Sony IMX 273
• Sony IMX 287
• Sony IMX 178
Please note that the IMX178 is a 6MP camera. While the lens is designed for 5MP, many customers successfully use it on a 6MP camera.
You will notice that when you click on the links that the Sony IMX sensors are employed in USB3 and GigE cameras. The cameras are available in both color and mono version. The combination of our 5MP 12MM C-mount lens with these sensors are often used for quality control, automation, inspection and robotics.
Resolving power of the 5MP 2/3” lens series
To create sharp images, we advise to combine the 5MP 2/3” lens series with industrial cameras that have up to 5MP resolution. The recommended cameras pixel size for this 5MP 12MM C-mount lens is 3.45μm. It has a resolving power of 160 line pairs per mm (lp/mm). The resolving power is determined by the number of pairs of black and white lines that can be distinguished. This is measured per millimeter of image space. A higher number of line pairs per mm indicates a higher spatial resolution, therefor the camera or lens system can resolve finer details in the image. Lens Product Life Cycle Management
The 5MP 12MM C-mount lens is sold in large numbers and will be produced for a long time. Nearly every lens model that has been introduced since our start still remains in stock. Additionally, if the VA-LCM-5MP-12MM-F1.4-015 lens approaches its End of Life (EOL), we are committed to keeping you informed. All of our customers will receive a final notification for an opportunity for a last-time buy. We also assure that after EOL that a new production run can always be initiated with a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) of 300 pieces of the 5MP 12MM C-mount lens.
Quality control & warranty of ours lenses
The lens production quality control process is built on several methodical steps. The process for lenses such as the 5MP 12MM C-mount lens starts with a quality check of the incoming raw materials and the production line preparation. This preparation includes a check of workers PPE (Personal protective equipment) and the cleaning of equipment. During production, each step follows a strict process controlled by visual or tool aided inspections. Each product finishes production with a final inspection, confirming that optical and mechanical requirements are met. In addition, sample control inspections are performed before shipping.

Recently we purchased a camera with lens, and LED lights. We are not experienced with machine vision but the installation worked out fine. After installation on our laboratory we were surprised again of the high quality of the photos and the versatility of this system. (options in Galaxy viewer and integration in Python. Recently we had an issue with the software and the customer support was able to give us the relevant information to fix it within one day. The next time we need a camera we will not be looking to other suppliers but contact GeT Cameras immediately.

For a new product development there was a lot of price pressure. We needed a cheap camera. I called them and Caspar was providing great support. He even advised a cheaper camera than I had in mind. I was just surprised by the inhouse knowledge of get cameras about machine vision. Never expected this from a webshop. The image an built quality of the camera is also great. The camera feels and operates the same as our Basler cameras.

In the beginning I was sceptic because of the low prices, but support by email was great. They advise a lens and provided additional technical information. Unfortunately they don't offer a loan service, but I decided to try it. I had the cameras in house within 2 weeks and connection was easy. The SDK looks like the SDK from Basler so I felt directly comfortable with it. The camera and lens was a perfect match and now I'm able to read small DMC codes on large products with just a single camera.
